Hello,

I live in Arizona – and I believe that I saw you are in Utah… but I found your blog and I need help with design ideas. I want to wear and remake my mothers wedding dress for my ceremony, but I am not sure exactly how to go about it. I don’t want to ruin its integrity and its beauty, but when I put it on, it somehow does not seem like “mine.” It is a gorgeous dress, and we have a dressmaker here in AZ who we are meeting with. She is a family friend and does beautiful work, but I am a bit concerned because I do not think she has ever remade a vintage dress before. After our first meeting, she didn’t really have very strong suggestions, so our first step was determined to get it professionally cleaned. So I am a bit nervous and wanted some ideas and suggestions.

Do you ever do contract consulting work to help with the designing portion? (For example, sending sketches and suggestions to help me know what to do!)
